  • The photon discrimination power of ALICE(A Large Ion Collider Experiment) photon spectrometer(PHOS) was simulated for incident particles n, n-, p, p-, K~+, π~+ and photon generated with JPCIAE for 5.5 TeV/A ~(208)Pb+~(208)Pb collisions. The principal component analysis method was used to reduce the number of parameters in the shower shape analysis. The efficiency dependence of purity for the photon discrimination was obtained for the deposited different energy range.
