  • To meet the demand of Z-pinch experiment on deuterated-polystyrene(DPS) wires,polystyrenewas used for the study of fabrication and characterization of wires.Under the selected conditions and using 1 gram DPS as the raw material,uniform DPS wires with diameter from 30μm to 100μm were prepared.The resultant DPS wires succeeded in the Zpinch experiment with D-D neutron yield about 2×10~(9)cm~(-1).
