Summary of Research and Development of Hydrogen Energy Utilization and Hydrogen Production by Nuclear Energy

The unique features, such as abundant resource, high heat value and nonpollution, of hydrogen energy are briefly described in the paper. The potential applications of hydrogen energy in the national economy (mainly as the transportation fuels for internal combustion engines and fuel cells) and national defense are introduced. Several major techniques of hydrogen production by nuclear energy are evaluated and the development prospects of nuclear energyhydrogen energy system are look forward.
