Sensitivity of Compensated Neutron Oil Logging Tool

The sensitivity of compensated neutron logging (CNL) tool is researched using Monte-Carlo method. The variations of sensitivity with the distance r between neutron source and near detector, the distance Δr between near and far detectors, the length of neutron source and the length of sensitive area of detector were calculated. The calculated results will be used for optimum design and character analysis of CNL tools.
