Upgrading Beam Line Design for CYCIAE-30 Medical Cyclotron

  • The new beam line is designed based on the existing beam lines on the CYCIAE-30 medical cyclotron at China Institute of Atomic Energy. The beam optics is simulated by TRACE-3D in order to transport the intense beam from the switching magnet of the cyclotron to the gas target for new radioactive isotope production. The designs of the bending magnet and quadrupole magnet are also described in detail in the paper.
