Abstract
The neutron fluctuation behavior in near critical nuclear system with a weak neutron source is treated with Markov process. The paper introduces a differential equation derived from Markov theory and probability generating function. An approximate analytic solution of the differential equation is deduced. The neutron fluctuation behavior for a constant source system is emphasized and analyzed. An numerical example is provided as well.
