Structural Design and Analysis of ITER Cryostat Feedthrough

  • International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) use superconducting magnet feeder system to transmit current, liquid helium and instrumentation cables, which are needed for magnet coils. The structural design of ITER cryostat feedthrough is described. With the help of finite element analysis technique, an overall check and stress analysis are carried out. It provides theoretical basis for further development of the structure.
