Preparation and Accelerator Mass Spectrometry Determination of 10Be/9Be Standard Reference Material

  • By dilution of 10Be reference material(SRM 4235) with natural beryllium, the 10Be/9Be standard samples were prepared to be used as AMS standard. 4 10Be/9Be samples with n(10Be)/n(9Be) range from 2.68×10-11 to 2.38×10-12 were checked by AMS at the HI-13 tandem in CIAE. The measured results show the excellent linear relationship between measured values and respective nominal values for 10Be/9Be standard samples. Moreover, normalized measured values are in good agreement with their nominal values. The prepared 10Be/9Be standard samples can be used for accurate AMS measurements of environmental 10Be/9Be.
