Measurement of Radioactive Activity for 59Fe Using Intensity Balance Method

  • A sample of 59Fe solution for international comparison organized by Japan ETL in 1997 was measured specific radioactivity in our laboratory by using intensity balance method. The specific activity of sample 59Fe is 1.8367(1±1.0%)×103Bq/mg, and the result is in agreement with the one measured by ETL(Electro Technical Laboratory).
