  • A 13N secondary beam to be used in the study of nuclear astrophysics was produced by the 2H(12C,13N)n reaction using the secondary beam line of the HI-13 tandem accelerator at Beijing. The energy of the 13N secondary beam is (70.2±0.7) MeV, with a purity of 91 % and the intensity of about 10 s-1•pnA-1 after collimation. The beam can be used for the study of transfer reaction in inverse kinematics.
