2H(d,γ)4He Reaction Cross Section at Ed=20 keV

  • The γ-ray and protons from Ed=20 keV deuterons incident on a D-Ti target were measured. The branching ratio of the 2H(d,γ)4He reaction versus the 2H(d,p)3H reaction is obtained to be Γγ/Γp= (1.06±0.42)×10-7and the upper limit of the cross section of 2H(d,γ)4He reaction is deduced to be σ=(2.9±1.2)×10-39m2.
