Adjustment of Neutron Vertical Focused Monochromator

The neutron vertical focused monochromator can efficiently raise the neutron fluence rate of sample in neutron scattering spectrometer. The vertical focused monochromator of the neutron powder diffractometer complex in Institute of Nuclear Physics and Chemistry was adjusted, and the beam dimension and the center position were detected by neutron radiograph, the available area of the beam was obtained by scanning along the horizontal and vertical directions at sample position, and the maximum fluence rate at the spot was determined too. The result indicates that the adjustment is successful.
