Development of Specialized Software Package for Pulsed High Field Magnet

The design of pulsed magnets involves electro-magnetic field analysis, thermal analysis and structural analysis. The design process is aimed at the optimization of performance with respect to the desired characteristics of the pulsed field. A specialized software package for pulsed high field magnet was developed. It can not only calculate the discharge, temperature and stress distribution in pulsed magnet, but also optimize the structure of pulsed magnet to obtain high performance. The simulations are agreed well with experimental results.
