4πβ-γ(HPGe) Method for Activity Measurement

  • The 4πβ-γ(HPGe) method for activity measurement was described. The HPGe detector is taken to replace the NaI(Tl) detector in the usual 4πβ-γ system, which can detect γ-ray more accurately. With proper selection of γ-ray, the approach can simply determine activity. With the measurements of 133Ba and 131I, it is concluded that the 4πβ-γ(HPGe) anticoincidence method is an accurate and credible method for activity measurement.
