On-Line Measurement of Pulsed Amplitude for Standard Spray-Sieve-Plates Pulsed Extraction Column

  • This paper aims to determine the relationship between pulsed amplitude and the area of the instantaneous pressure drop within one-period through five standard spray-sieve-plates pulsed extraction columns by air purge method. It is shown that the pulsed frequency has no influence on the area. However, the value of flow factor increases with the pulsed amplitude and frequency, and is independent of the height of column, the diameter of column and the properties of continuous phases. Based on above results, the correlation of the area and pulsed amplitude was achieved and was used to measure the pulsed amplitude on-line by air purge method.
