  • The loads applied on the outlet nozzle of nuclear reactor pressure vessel are weight, pressure, thermal expansion, earthquake and pipe loadings during the running of the nuclear power station. The integrality of outlet nozzle is very important to nuclear reactor operates normally. The general purpose finite element program ANSYS was used for 3D stress and fatigue analysis to get the stress distribution and fatigue usage factor. The results of the evaluation are based on applicable criteria. The outlet nozzle is evaluated to demonstrate with applicable criteria.
