Consideration About Static and Dynamic Seismic Test for Nuclear Safety Class Equipment

  • Seismic qualification should be performed for nuclear safety class equipment. The method of seismic qualification is test, analysis, and combination of test and analysis. All seismic category Ⅰ (i.e. safety class 1, 2, 3) active mechanical equipment should be seismic qualified by test. The static test may be used by ASME QME-1—2002. As for static test, the main element in test process, the precondition of test and the application limit were described in the paper. Finally, the suggestion of application scope for static test was proposed.
