Safety Analysis of Fuel Assemblies Transport by Train

Fuel assemblies are transported by train. Fuel assemblies are putted in the containers which are named MTR-D. The containers are fixed by wood blocks and screws. Safety analyses were finished for MTR-D under normal and accident condition. Whether the requirement of stress is satisfied and the containers displacement of front-back, left-right and vertical wouldn’t happen were concerned in the paper. Formulas were used to calculate stress that the containers undertake in the process of transport and to verify the stability of the screw. It is showed that the containers fixed by wood blocks and screws are satisfied with the requirement of fuel assemblies transport.
