PID Control for Nuclear Steam Generator Water Level Based on Genetic Algorithm

  • The nuclear steam generator is a nonminimum-phase system, which is caused by the swell and shrink effects. Based on the analysis of the mechanism of steam generator, the PID controller with a simplified steam generator model was tuned offline by the genetic algorithm in the paper. The simulation results from Simulink demonstrate that the developed level controller is in good performance.
