Advanced Homogeneous Flow Model for Density Wave Oscillation of Two-Phase Flow in Parallel Tubes

  • The paper presented the advanced homogeneous flow model for density wave oscillation of two-phase flow in parallel tubes. Two stability margins were also established, which was an extended type of the results in Ref.1. When λL/d is lower than 4, the lower stability margin can be reduced by increasing the friction coefficient λL/d, while λL/d is not lower than 4, the lower stability margin is constant, equal to zero. The lower stability margin is determined by λL/d solely. However, the upper stability margin is determined by both λL/d and ρ2lLsin α/(2q2m). A special type of the results was tested by experiments in Ref.1.
