Pulsing System for Low Energy and High Intensity Deuterium Ion Beam

  • The pulsing system for the low energy and high intensity ion beam provides deuterium pulsing beam with the frequency of 4 MHz, the FWHM of 2 ns and the average current of 60 μA. The better layout of the beam line by designing the beam optics was obtained. To get the better bunching voltage and the stability of the phase and the magnitude, the variables for the buncher and chopper were worked out. The installation, adjustment and on-line tests were also described.
