Experimental Study of 300 kV Wall Pipe

  • A compact type wall pipe working in the environment of high radiation was designed. It consists of stainless steal inner pipe and ceramic bushing, and fills with SF6 as insulating gas in cavity. A model with epoxy pipe as an alternative of ceramic bushing was manufactured and the test of withstand-voltage performance was carried out. The experiment shows that the wall pipe is qualified in withstand-voltage but improvement is needed to decrease the surface corona.
