Development of integrated total neutron measurement system

  • An integrated total neutron measurement system was successfully developed. The miniaturized electronics components were fixed above the head of the detector. The system has a small body, so it is convenient to move. A rotatable LED was used to display the results, and it can also be controlled by computer for a long period measurement and assay. The system has special direction for measurement, can be used in nuclear inspection and monitoring facility storage, searching the neutron from nuclear materials in equipment or in nuclear waste. The neutron efficiency for 252Cf source at 10 cm in front of the system is 0.92%. The reliability and stability of the system has been proved for a long period test.
