Shielding Correction to Bodywork of In-Situ Object Counting System

  • This paper presents the methods of experiment and calculation for shielding correction to the bodywork of in-situ object counting system(ISOCS) using a plane source of 152Eu. The shielding correction coefficients were obtained in the conditions that the HPGe detector of BE5030 with the collimators of 50 mm-90°, 50 mm-30° or 50 mm-180°, and the detector distance 58.2 cm from ground surface. The relationships between the shielding correction coefficients and γ-ray energies were fitted by the least square method, for the shielding correction calculation of any energy within 122-1 408 keV by interpolation.
