Digital Control of Power Factor Correction

  • The power supply system of high energy accelerators is the biggest consumer of power energy. The improvement of the power supply efficiency is much important for designing the power supply system. The digital control method of the power factor correction (PFC) for switching-mode power supply was designed, which was based on the digital-controlled current stabilized power supply. The implementations of the digital control loop, multi-channel ADC and the generation of the pulse width modulation (PWM) were described. It is proved that the design of the digital control PFC can improve the power factor of switching-mode power supply and meet the design requirements.
