Precision Rolling Technique of Molybdenum Foil for Equation of State

  • The high pressure equations of state (EOS) of materials are important issues in research of inertial confinement fusion (ICF). The shock hugoniot curve of materials is the foundation to determine high pressure equations of state and other high dynamic pressure properties of materials. Precision rolling techniques of molybdenum film standard materials were described with reasonable working curve made and verified. Measured data of the rolled molybdenum film show that the film has high thickness uniformity better than 99% with surface squared mean roughness less than 50 nm and peak-to-vale less than 200 nm which can fulfill the request of EOS experiment up to date.
