Preliminary Analysis of RPV Benchmark for PWR With MUSE1.0 ENDF/B-Ⅶ.0 Multi-group Library

  • Multigroup library MUSE1.0 based on the ENDF/B-Ⅶ.0 was developed. The key responses, such as neutron spectrum, reaction rate and specific activity of the surveillance capsule benchmark of H.B. Robinson unit-2 in the USA were calculated by the two-dimensional discrete-ordinates code DORT. The results were compared with those calculated by the BUGLE-96 cross section library which was based on ENDF/B-Ⅵ. The average ratio of calculated-to-measured (C/M) specific activities with MUSE1.0 is 0.98±0.04, which is more accurate than the value of 0.90±0.04 with BUGLE-96. The result indicates that MUSE1.0 satisfies the accuracy requirement of fast neutron fluence calculation for RPV of PWR.
