History, Current Situation and Future Tendency of Domestic and International Low Energy Nuclear Theory Research

  • The advent of big nuclear science facilities and progress of experimental techniques bring more and more volumes of experimental data for nuclear theoretical studies, which are testing the extant theories, providing new theoretical research topics and extending the field of nuclear theory thereof. With the enhancement of computational power and speed of modern large-scale supercomputers and the constant improvement of numerical algorithms, the computational accuracy of nuclear many-body systems has been greatly improved. Nuclear theoretical studies have entered an unprecedented time. A brief review is given on the current situation, recent domestic advances and future tendency of nuclear theory research. Several suggestions for the future development of nuclear theory are presented.
