Design and Analysis of Magnetic Joint Assemblies for Passive Shutdown System in Fast Reactor

  • Themagnetic joint assemblies for passive shutdown system in a fast reactor weredesigned according to ASME criterion.Working conditions for the magnetic joint were analyzed, and hence possible loads were summarized. Stress analysis was performed on the magnetic joint assemblieswith ANSYS code. Finally, the stress intensity and fatigue intensity wereevaluated according to the standards of class-1 equipment in ASME criterion. The stress intensity and fatigue intensity of the magnetic joint assemblies in normal condition meet ASME criterion.
