Flowing Model in Rectangular Tubes at Rolling Motion

  • The laminar flow model in rectangular tubes at rolling motion was developed and the velocity correlation was derived. The effect of rolling motion on laminar flow in rectangular tubes was investigated. The effect of centrifugal force is counteracted in the system. The velocity oscillation is caused by tangential force, so the oscillation period of velocity is the same with the rolling period. However, the tangential force does not effect on the average velocity profile and frictional resistance factor. As to the laminar flow in rectangular tubes, the Richardson effect can also be seen.
