Quick Evaluation of Radiological Consequences for Containment Venting

  • The quick evaluation method of radiological consequences for containment venting in severe accident was described. Fist of all, the release fraction to environment with containment venting was calculated. Simultaneously, individual lifetime dose to a member of the public at 1% initial core inventory release to containment should be calculated. Then, the core release fraction to containment according to accident radiation instruments in containment was obtained. Finally, individual lifetime dose to a member of the public for different distances outside NPP can be evaluated quickly. It is useful for severe accident management and implementation of emergency countermeasure.
