Design and Experimental Research on Venting Device for Cryostat System of EAST

  • In order to protect the cryostat system of EAST under overpressure condition, the overpressure venting device with bursting disc was designed on the cryostat system, then its type and the parameters were decided based on the ANSYS structure analysis. Furthermore, the 316LN bursting disc device was trial-manufactured based on the analytic results, and the feasibility and reliability of the design were verified through experiments. The experimental results indicate that the design is reasonable and can provide a valuable reference for the protection and research of the similar overpressure venting devices.
