Global Nuclear Plant Network and Its Characteristics

  • Based on the realistic data, the priority queue network model was proposed and a global nuclear plant network (GNPN) was constructed by means of the theories of network science. The topological properties of the network such as the degree distribution and the clustering coefficients were numerically simulated, and the community structure of the network was discussed by a software named CFinder. The results reveal that the distribution of GNPN is of hyperdispersion and nonequilibrium distrinution. From the structure of the network, we can also deduce the fact that the common reactor types are widely used in developed countries (node degree is large). However, developing countries (node degree is small) purchase them from the developed countries. All characteristics of GNPN can reflect the status and evolution of nuclear plants in different countries and they may be valuable for the concerned research in China.
