Impact of Corrosion When Adding HEDP to 1Cr18Ni9Ti in HNO3 Cleaning System

  • The impact of corrosion when adding HEDP to 1Cr18Ni9Ti in HNO3 cleaning system (10% HNO3, 50 ℃) was studied by electrochemical testing, metallographic and electronic scanning probe observation. The results show that the pitting resistance ability is further improved when adding HEDP to 1Cr18Ni9Ti in HNO3 system, and HNO3 with HEDP’s secondary passivation has a certain synergy. It helps the passive film of 1Cr18Ni9Ti in HNO3 system to be repaired after it is damaged.
