Study and Application of Transmission Ionization Chamber for Monitoring Low Energy Proton Beam Intensity

  • Transmission ionization chamber was designed and used to monitor the change of proton beams online with HI-13 tandem accelerator. Its characteristics were studied. The results show that the transmission ionization chamber meets the requirements of routine application. Compared with the results of Au-Si detector, the ionization chamber increases the accuracy of experimental results when calibrating other dosimetry systems.
