Analysis of Passive Residual Heat Removal System of Modular High Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor

  • The passive residual heat removal system plays an important role for the inherent safety of high temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR). The thermal hydraulic calculation method for the residual heat removal system of HTGR was introduced. The operating temperatures of the residual heat removal system at different residual heat powers and different environmental temperatures were calculated. The containment concrete temperature was numerically simulated. The results show that the highest concrete temperature is acceptable.
