Influence of Sample Weight in Coal Composition Online Analysis by PGNAA

  • The influence of the sample weight (or thickness) was investigated on the coal online measuring system (MJA) based on prompt gamma neutron activation analysis (PGNAA) technology. A series of the coal samples with different weights were tested and the experimental spectra were analyzed. An amended method was proposed to correct for the influence of the sample weight. Experimental results indicate that this method is feasible, and the measurement results can satisfy the request.
