Design of 1553B Remote Terminal in Gamma Ray Bursts Polarimeter

  • A set of 1553B remote terminal (RT) system was designed based on control of 51 series microcontroller. The system will be used for transmitting scientific data and housekeeping data from gamma ray bursts polarimeter (POLAR) to TG-2, and control instruction from TG-2 to POLAR. BU-65170 is used as 1553B protocol chip in the system. A set of 1553B bus controller (BC) simulator was designed in order to test the data communication function of 1553B RT system. The test result indicates that the data communication function of 1553B RT system based on control of 51 series microcontroller is stable and reliable.
