Tensile Strength of Ferritic Steel P92 by Small Punch Test Technology

  • The measurement method of tensile strength of ferritic steel P92 by small punch test (SPT) technology was investigated. The load-displacement curves with different temperatures and thicknesses were obtained by SPT technology. The results show that the values of yield load Py and maximum load Pmax increase linearly as the thickness t increases. And the coefficient α in the σyαPy/t2 between yield load Py of SPT and standard yield strength σy changes linearly with temperature T as α=9.421 3×10-4T+0.349 4. The α value of room temperature is 0.382.
