Abstract
The effects of zinc addition on behaviors of general corrosion behaviors of nickel-base alloy 690 were investigated in simulated PWR primary water. After exposed in solutions with zinc concentration of 0 and 50 ppb for 1 500 h, oxide films developed on surface of specimens were analyzed by using XPS. The result shows that Zn partly replaces Ni and Fe in NiCr2O4 and FeCr2O4 in the inner oxide layer and forms ZnCr2O4.
