Measurement on Mass of Uranium Metal by Time Correlation Coincidence Method

  • The source detector correlation functions of eight uranium metal with mass range from 3.8 to 15.2 kg were measured by 252Cf source induced fission analysis method. The integral of correlation functions evidently increases with fissile mass. The sensitivity coefficient of mass is 8.5% and 11.0% as the uranium mass is from 3.8 to 7.2 kg and from 7.2 to 15.2 kg, respectively.
