Analysis on Validity of Numerical Model for Plume Diffusion Under Neutral ABL in Nuclear Power Plant

  • In order to simulate the process of plume under neutral atmospheric stability in nuclear power plant, the method of CFD numerical simulation was applied. The line wall function of wind and temperature gradient was used to describe the atmospheric stability. Compared the analysis result of CFD numerical simulation with classic analysis theory, the law of plume elevating, concentration distribution in the space and diffusion parameters, which could validate the effectiveness of numerical simulation model were analyzed. The results are in accordance with the classic analysis theory result, and CFD numerical simulation can be used to solve the smoke plume diffusion problem in nuclear power plant.
