The First Critical Experiment of China Advanced Research Reactor

The first criticality is one of the important mile-stones of nuclear reactor project. It means that the reactor has been erected successfully. The experiment principle, procedures and results of CARR first critical experiment were briefly described. Without referenced reactor and zero-power device, the process of experiment was according to the theoretical calculation. The experiment results are well in agreement with the neutronics design results.
