Influence of Uranium Components Geometry on Time Correlation Coincidence Mass Measurement

  • Source-driven time correlation coincidence measurements can provide time dependent coincidence distribution between two detectors that can be related to the mass of uranium components. The measurement process on four half shell uranium components with different masses but the same enrichment were simulated by Monte Carlo code. And the corresponding time dependent coincidence distribution of particles was obtained. The research shows that the influence of geometry from four uranium components is so small that it hardly affects the results of uranium components mass identification.
