Decontamination Research of Ventilation Pipes by Dry Ice Jet

  • The simulated decontamination experiments for ventilation pipes by dry ice jet were carried out. The influence of jet parameter to decontamination effect was examined. The results indicate that under the experimental condition the lose weight decreases with the velocity increasing. The best target distance is 20 mm. The best jet angle is 80°. The best diameter of dry ice is 3 mm. The velocity of decontamination is 0.6 m2/h. The decontaminated efficiency is more than 95% for contamination surface. The dry ice jet is an excellent technology for polluted ventilation pipes.
