Research of Electrochemical Behavior of Thorium in LiCl-KCl Melts
The electrochemical process on the Mo cathode of Th4+ ion in the LiCl-KCl melts was studied by the cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry. The results of research show that the electrode process is controlled by diffusion and the temperature dependence of diffusion coefficient D can be described by ln D=33.94-2.879×104/T. The apparent potential is E vsCl-0/Cl2=-3.45+7.5×10-4T.
