Criticality and Burnup Analysis of 2 400 MW AHTR

  • The criticality and burnup analysis was performed for the 2 400 MW AHTR, using the computer codes TRITON in SCALE 5.1. Three different models, whose fuel-to-graphite ratio are 27∶65.4, 30∶62.4 and 33∶59.4, were selected for the analysis. The core life for these three models was predicted to be 1260, 1350 and 1320 effective full power days (EFPDs), and the corresponding burnups are 139, 134 and 125 GW·d/MtU, respectively.
