Improvement and Validation of FRAPCON-2 Code

The models such as thermal conductivity and fission gas release in FRAPCON-2 were improved for high burnup fuel analysis. Fuel irradiation data of IFA 597.3 ROD8 were used to validate the program. The result shows that some calculation values such as fractional fission gas release and fuel temperature are in good agreement with the measured values. So the improvement of FRAPCON-2 code is successful.
