Development of β-γ Coincidence Spectra Analysis Software for Noble Gas Xenon

  • Based on the measurement theory of the β-γ coincidence method for noble gas xenon, the algorithm based on correlation method for analyzing β-γ coincidence spectra was established. The analysis software with a graphical user interface was developed. The software has the functions of processing noble gas β-γ coincidence data,displaying the spectra graphically and writing the analysis results to the database. The software makes Beijing radionuclide laboratory have the capability of analyzing the noble gas β-γ coincidence data. The analysis results were compared with those of IDC software bg_analyze. The result shows that the relative deviation of activity concentrations for four xenon isotopes is less than 1.2% and the relative deviation of the minimum detectable activity concentrations for four xenon isotopes is less than 1.7%.
