Development of High Yield Neutron Generator

The performance and R&D of neutron generator equipment with high yield was described. The alnico was placed in the elicitation electrode, which increases the ion concentration in Penning ion source. The single electrode ion optics and the suppressing electrode were used in tube. The neutron output is up to 1.1×10¹⁰s^-1 when the ion current is up to 50 mA and beam is 1 mA. The equipment has good performances, such as high neutron yield, good stability, safety and portability.
